Aimee Here!

Orange County’s Fine Art Photographer

I’m a lover of God, people, and adventure! I picked up my first camera at the age of 7, and never in a million years did I think that I was going to make a career out of it. Somehow, I don’t ever remember putting my camera down and officially began photographing weddings, portraits, and lifestyle sessions in 2018! I’ve been tremendously blessed to be married to the love of my life for a little over three years now. We are a tad bit obsessed with food, traveling and Netflix. We currently reside in Orange County, California where I’ve had the pleasure of photographing real, authentic, and intimate love stories.

My heart for the business

I embarked on this beautiful journey of photography because I genuinely adore capturing those intimate and once in a lifetime moments. I live for moments right before a bride walks down the aisle, emotional grooms, their first kiss as husband and wife, the father daughter dances, and the crazy love between two newlyweds. I love the moments when a proposal is about to happen and the reaction once it does!

I live for tiny hands & little feet of a newborn babies who’ve just made their grand entrance into this world. I especially love the sweet, tender, moments between a family and the rawness of it all.

My heart in this business is to deliver my clients a one of a kind experience. I want them to look back at images and remember the smallest of details because they were captured on camera. I aim to provide a lasting impression of love, family, and authenticity.

Our Love Story

“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mind are the same.”

Miles and I met in the summer of 2014 at our home church’s college group but it wasn’t until Fall of that year, that we had our first encounter and conversation. I remember being so attracted to Miles because of his witty humor and charming personality. We were both in college and were on the same path to becoming nurses.

After months of interacting with each other at church events, on December of 2014, Miles built up the courage to ask for my number. He was smooth that night on how he asked and I remember thinking, “FINALLY” and willingly gave it. On February 28, 2015 he officially asked me to be his girl and took me on our first date to Newport Beach, where he told me that within year he wanted to marry me and start forever. I laughed at him and called him crazy. However, joke was on me. Countless dinner dates, movie dates, and Disney dates later, I was head over heels in love with Miles and could not picture my life without him. I felt so blessed that God had given me the one whom my soul had longed for and the man that my parents had prayed for.

How He Asked

A couple months before Miles got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife, he sat down with my entire immediate family and asked for my hand in marriage. The week he proposed, Miles asked me to save October 28th open because he wanted to take me to dinner to celebrate our 8th month dating anniversary. Two days before he proposed, I fell ill with the flu and tried to cancel our dinner plans. Miles, however was persistent and begged me to go to dinner. I remember being so upset because I thought he was so selfish for dragging me to dinner with a fever, a cold, and all congested. Little did I know that he was about to ask me the best and easiest question of my life.

Miles had made dinner reservations in Downtown Disney at our favorite Italian restaurant. I remember being so upset and ordering the smallest thing on the menu because I wasn’t at all hungry or in the mood to be anywhere else but home in bed. After dinner, Miles took me into Disneyland and he had planned to propose in front of the castle, however the castle had been closed off due to the firework show. He was bummed and I couldn’t understand why, so I suggested we go home (so that I could sleep haha). On our way out of Downtown Disney, he offered to buy me a medicine ball from Starbucks and asked me to sit near the fountain area while he went to get it for me.

Moments later he had gotten me tea and he sat next to me. He gave me a story on how he had actually bought me a gift at the Disney Store as asked me to close my eyes. I closed my eyes and when I opened them, he was kneeling in front of me with a ring box containing the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen. I was mesmerized and in complete awe as he proceeded to declare his never-ending love for me and asked me to be his wife. I remember the tears coming from my eyes and the fireworks set off (literally)  as I said, “YES!” The tears only intensified as the time passed and I came to the realization that it wasn’t a dream that this was reality. Four months later, I became Mrs. Matias and our forever began.
